This Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) course is intended for use by employees at dental practices in Ontario. Its purpose is to provide an overview of WHMIS and its applicability to dental practices in line with the Ontario Dental Association's guidelines This course provides a framework for the development of a hazardous materials management program that satisfies the requirements of the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) and the WHMIS Regulation (R.R.O. 1990, Reg. 860).

AODA stands for the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act. It's a law that sets out accessibility standards for organizations in Ontario. The aim of AODA is to make Ontario more accessible and inclusive for people with disabilities. This course will cover basic information about AODA, comprehensive details about its standards, and the benefits these standards offer Ontarians.

This course will educate employees on the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), a federal privacy law for private-sector organizations. PIPEDA sets out the ground rules for how businesses must handle personal information in the course of their commercial activity. This course will inform employees on best practices for ensuring they are always in compliance with PIPEDA, edcuate them on consumer rights under PIPEDA, describe what to do if there is a breach, and outline the PIPEDA complaint process.
